    The Vision

 

Mission Statement

To provide trained rescue and first aid assistance to the Upper Hutt Community, assisting professional organisations in the event of a civil disaster as required with rescue and first aid.


Emphasis

Our emphasis will be on continually expanding the skill base of the UHCR Team to be compatible with other existing emergency services, providing a service to the public and keeping continual communication between existing volunteer rescue team's - local and national.


Statement of Intent

Upper Hutt Community Rescue is committed to having all its members trained to a common standard, use certified training programs to achieve this standard via internal training activities and sessions with external professional organisations, supporting the community where skills of first aid and rescue may be required.


Goal

Upper Hutt Community Rescue aims to achieve closer liaison with existing professional services and be recognised as an efficient volunteer technical rescue resource in the Wellington area.


Statement of Commitment

Upper Hutt Community Rescue is committed to:

  • providing a service to the Upper Hutt community and the greater Wellington region.
  • supporting community activities where First Aid and rescue may be required.
  • having all members trained to a common standard using recognised programs and methods.
  • continuous expanding the teams skill and knowledge base to enable compatibility with existing emergency services.
  • open communication between UHCR and existing emergency services.
